An online devotional for writers

A Word From The Word

Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house. (Proverbs 24:27, NLT)

A Word For Writers

“A content plan? Oh yes, we need one.”

The Content Plan: why you need one. A #devotional for writers based on Prov 24:27 with Word Wise at Nonprofit Copywriter #ContentWriting #WritingTips

Nine out of ten bloggers and business owners are convinced that quality content is a powerful marketing strategy to use on their websites, blogs, and social media.

In fact, 91% believe in reaching readers through content – but only 9% are successful in doing so.

The reason? They’re “not investing enough time into planning,” says Neil Patel, digital marketing guru.  Just one in three (33%) have a written content plan.

No content plan makes no sense.

Creating content is a multi-step process: concepting, writing, editing, creating graphics, loading/printing, scheduling.

A content plan helps you organize those tasks. When you’ve got a content plan on the calendar, then you can create back off dates for each task so you publish consistently. Your plan needn’t be complicated. And there’s no single right way to create one.

What matters is that you do – if  you want your content to reach and engage users.

Over and over in His Word, God tells us to make a plan before building.

It’s easy to see why. With a little planning, you exceed 91% expectations shared by your fellow content writers.

A Wise Word

Make a written content plan.

A Word To Pray

Gracious Father,

Your creation models form and structure. Planning gives me the best chance for success. Help me to set aside time to make a content plan and let me follow through to complete it.

In Jesus’s name, Amen.
